Proserpine River Stream Training & Bank Reinstatement

PROJECT DATES: 7th February 2024 to 5th December 2024

EXPENDITURE: $99,990 

The section of the Proserpine River chosen for this project had built up debris, snags and re-growth in the middle of the channel which were blocking the flow of the river.

 The Trust cleared the debris, snags and selected re-growth in the channel.  Undertaking stream training with minor realignment and repairs to any damage or scouring to the stream-side base of the levee banks and further to identify the integrity of the levee bank which protects the Proserpine Township and reduces the impact of flood waters.
